Today, we're thrilled to share with you a classic Middle Eastern recipe that's perfect for the season: Baba Ghanoush and Wheat Pita Bread!
This iconic duo is not only a staple in our kitchen, but it's also a testament to the power of food to bring people together. Imagine sinking your teeth into a crispy, freshly baked pita bread, slathered with a rich, creamy Baba Ghanoush... it's a match made in heaven!
So, let's dive into the recipe and make some unforgettable memories in the kitchen!

_Baba Ghanoush Recipe:_
Ingredients:
2 large eggplants
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Pierce the eggplants with a fork a few times and place them on a baking sheet.
3. Roast the eggplants in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until they're soft and collapsed.
4. Remove the eggplants from the oven and let them cool down.
5. Scoop the flesh out of the eggplants and transfer it to a blender or food processor.
6. Add the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and olive oil to the blender.
7. Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy.
8. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
9. Transfer the Baba Ghanoush to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.
_Wheat Pita Bread Recipe:_
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and yeast.
2. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes, or until the yeast is activated and frothy.
3. Add the olive oil, salt, and 2 cups of the whole wheat flour to the bowl.
4. Mix the dough until it comes together in a sticky ball.
5. Gradually add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, one cup at a time, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
6. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes, or until it's smooth and elastic.
7. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it's doubled in size.
8. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
9. Punch down the dough and divide it into 4-6 equal pieces, depending on how large you want your pita breads to be.
10. Roll out each piece into a ball and then flatten it slightly into a disk shape.
11. Place the pita breads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
12. Bake the pita breads in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until they're puffed and lightly browned.

1. Slice the wheat pita breads in half and toast them lightly.
2. Spread a generous amount of Baba Ghanoush on each pita bread half.
