Turkish Poached Eggs

Ingredients

4 large eggs

2 cups of plain yogurt

2 cloves of garlic,minced

1/4 cup of unsalted butter

1 tablespoon of white viniger salt and black


Instructions

In a small bowl, mix the yogurt and minced garlic together and set aside.


In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.


Fill a large saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Add the white vinegar to the water.


Reduce the heat to medium and crack the eggs into the water, one at a time, without breaking the yolks. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the whites are set and the yolks are still runny.


Using a slotted spoon, remove the eggs from the water and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess water.


To serve, place a generous scoop of the garlic yogurt mixture on a plate. Place the poached eggs on top of the yogurt and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.


Drizzle the red pepper butter over the eggs and yogurt. Serve immediately with a side of crusty bread.
